Things

this morning was a typical day.   We got ready for the day.  I took Max to band and Alysa to school.  I got back and got Lyla and Ryan ready for the day.   Lyla wanted to take a picture with Ryan.  She wanted Ryan to make a heart with her.  He wasn't so good at it.  He made some swan arms and then laughed.   He finally made a heart with her.   She was so proud.  He laughed because he may be too cool to make a heart with his little sister.  Thanks to Ryan for doing it anyway.

Silly kid.  He needs a haircut.   He is trying to make me buy him something in order to get a haircut.   I don't think that will happen.  Good try, Ryan.   :)

We raced to the car to listen to our favorite radio program in the mornings.  It is "Win Brooke's bucks"  A listener will call in and they will ask them some questions that are random facts.  They have to win by getting more that Brooke correct.  Brooke always wins so the listener doesn't usually get anything.   We like to listen to the questions.  Ryan thinks I should call in.  The problem with this is that I don't know any random facts.  I am the worst and retaining that stuff.  I told Ryan that he should study random facts on the news and then we could call together.  That would be his dream.   Funny guy.  If we are running late at all, he just goes to the car and listens to the program.

Max and I listen to another one called - Laser stories.  These are random stories about people around the world that are kinda crazy.  Things people do in order to get arrested, or in trouble.  They say that most radio shows play these stories, but they are different because they have a laser.  It is funny.  We get to hear this every morning when we drive to band.   I look forward to both of these times with my boys.   It is something that we like to do together.  Ryan says that he will be sad to move to middle school, because we will not get to hear our radio program.  Maybe I will have to listen to them on the podcasts with him when we get home from school.

Alysa sent me a cute text today.   It said "I just wanted to let you know that I appreciate the way that you care for me and take me to all my things and support the things I want to do.  Thanks for the influence you have on my life and all you do.  Thanks for being willing to take me to basketball games and taking my friends and I everywhere"    It was nice to see such a great text from her.  It made me smile.  Thanks to Alysa for being so nice and sending this to me.   It is a rare occasion that I see that they recognize what I do for them.

Today, Eric bought some new shoes for Max to go to basketball.    He took them to basketball and then when he got home, he had left them at practice.  BRAND new shoes!  Ha.   Eric and Max raced back over to the school and they were just sitting there.   Max needs to pay more attention to things.  He is so very forgetful.  He needs more oils and fish oil.   giving him fish oil seems to be the best thing for him.

I also took Ryan to drums today and talked to some other mother for a while.  She was telling me all sorts of things about her life.   She had 2 kids and just had started drums.   She told me about her whole life and then said that we were meant to be friends.  Maybe we were.    This happens all of the time.  It is strange.
