Max and Ryan each hit the jackpot a few times. They were thrilled. It was a perfect day. We headed to Red Robin for dinner and I truly enjoyed the night. We reconnected with each other and laughed and had a good time. It was the perfect end to a perfect weekend.
On the way home it started hailing. The kids were thrilled. They were convinced that it was going to snow and then school was going to be cancelled. They were feeling the hail all of the way up the street. It was hitting their arms out the car window. Lyla was trying to catch it on her tongue. Max caught a few and then said that it was hailing Dippin Dots. It was! It was exactly Dippin Dots. Wr talked about weather and how amazing it was that this stuff was falling from the sky. It was fun. We got home and Ryan was so excited. He raced out the back door to make a quick snow angel on the tramp. He threw snowballs at the window and even built a tiny snowman.
I kind of wish it would snow Utah snow here in Washington. I miss it for the kids. I do not miss it one little bit and could live without it always. The kids want to play in it for hours and drink hot chocolate when they come in. hopefully this year will be the year of snowing so they can live out their dream.
