Last night she was grabbing my shoes so I could go to Zumba. She grabbed me my new ones, but I can’t wear them because they hurt my ankles. I told her I needed the other ones because those ones hurt my ankles. She said “Mom, I am so sorry to hear that these shoes do that to you.” Ha again.
I love little Lyla. She is my best little friend. She is always by my side. She helps me with everything. In the morning she will wake up and say “Lyla is here”. She usually comes in my bed at night and stands by the side and asks to climb in. She carries her blankie around holding on to “Yellow spot” under her first finger. She now has 3 stuffed animals that she is carrying around. Mandy that Panda, Stripers the tiger and a Pegasus horse. She wants to carry them all over and sometimes cries if she can’t find them that minute.
Lyla loves to have things organized. She loves to have a schedule. She usually wakes up around 8 and watches some shows, then we eat Mac & Cheese for lunch. The bowl has to be on the middle of a towel on the living room floor. She eats all of the noodles in the bowl and then puts her dish in the sink. Then she gets ready to go to school. I take her to school every other week and her friends mom the other week. She loves it when I drive. We gather her 2 friends and then head to school. She always makes sure her friends seat belts are buckled properly before getting into her seat. She will yell at me from the back seat if I don’t have my seatbelt on. We call her the seatbelt police.
She comes home from school and likes to play with her friend, Addyson. She usually plays with Addy until about 6 and then it is time for dinner. We eat dinner, read and then she likes to snuggle until she falls asleep. She is easy most of time. Sometimes, she has a sassy attitude and demands what she wants at every minute (but don’t call her sassy or she will cry). It doesn’t help that she has 3 older brothers and sister to help her with everything and give her basically what she wants all of the time.
I signed her up for a dance class that starts tomorrow. She is so excited. She has not stopped talking about how she is going to dance and how the room will look what she is going to wear. We bought her a few leotards, and she hasn’t wanted to take them off. I am excited for her to go to dance.
I love to have Lyla here with me and will miss her when she goes to Kindergarten next year. My little shadow is getting bigger and will disappear before I know it. Sniff... Sniff...
