We headed to Washington on Friday afternoon. Eric had big plans to drive half way and then stop and then drive the rest of the way on Saturday. My plans were different than his. I hate to stop –I like to just get there. Through 3 states..
We drove into the night and got to my dad’s house at about 1:30 am. Eric and Lyla and Rainee were sound asleep when we pulled in. Pandora kept me awake as I drove the last hour by myself. We got to the barn and Lyla was WIDE awake. Sad. We played with her for a little bit and then I was too tired to do anything. I put her in her bed so we could get to sleep. Finally… all was quiet in the barn and we were glad.
The next day.. we woke up and got situated to start our vacation. I was excited to see the kids. Alysa was at my dad’s house, so we saw her first. She wanted to talk and talk and tell me all about her week. Max and Ry were at Jennifer’s house so they would have to wait until we headed out to see them. We got settled and then headed to Jennifer’s house. Max and Ryan were excited to see us. Lyla was excited to see all of them.
Thank you Jennifer, Angie and Kristi for taking care of my kids. They have had the best time. I am glad that you were all willing to take time out of your day to make their time in Washington the best!
Then onto the splash park by Jennifer’s house. The kids had so much fun. We stayed there for while and played. Then went to dinner. What fun day for the 1st day of our vacation.
