Christmas

Seriously! It has almost been a month since Christmas and I haven't blogged about the wonderful day. We woke up at about 7:00. Everything was perfect. My very favorite thing on Christmas morning is the look of the tree with the lights shining so perfectly on the presents that weren't there the night before.  I love the magic and the little dancing tree on the TV.    I love these shining, smiling faces so much.  I am glad that I get to share their experiences with them.

Jen gave the kids pillow pets.  I love this picture.  Too bad Lyla was still asleep.  I figured she really didn't care enough to be woken up.

Chocolate milk was joining in on the fun.  She looks so cozy!

Ryan and his mess!   He was so excited for all of the items he received.  This DSi is his favorite present ever.  He was sooooo happy for the day and all of the excitement.
Lyla finally joined us after the others had opened their gifts.  She didn't know what to think of this day.  There was a mess everywhere!  She loved her blocks, a doll and some baby things.

Max is loving this day too.  He loved all of his presents too.  His favorite was his iPod.  He always has it with him with headphones listening to something.

Here is the sad Christmas tree.  I actually took all of the ornaments off of the tree and had Eric take it outside by 11:00.  It was soooo dead and all I could think of was it being a fire hazard.   It was really nice to get it out of the house.  I ended up taking all of the Christmas stuff down and putting it away too.

We spent the day at home.  We were clenaing up and spending time together.  Eric's parents came over for waffles.  Eric gave me a circus animal waffle pan and it was lovely.  The kids still like the heart waffle pan better.  I was hoping that the circus animal one would replace the heart one, but I am not that lucky!   We headed to my moms house for dinner and gifts.  It was again a nice time.  The kids are getting older and it was nice to hang out.  Little Lyla discovered that she loves cucumbers.  She will be my best eater because I give her everything.

She figured out how to scoot around just before Christmas.  She looks so old.

I love my mom's tree.  It always has her Utah ornaments on it.  I always love how perfect it looks.

By the end of the day, we were tired.  We watched a movie and played with our new toys.  I am excited for January and a new year.

Maybe the dog and the cat will get along after all :)

Our New Years was lovely.  We took the kids swimming and then headed home for food and games.  We played the wii and spent time as our family.  It was wonderful.  Eric went to shower and came out at about 11 and all of us were sound asleep on the couch.   No shouting or anything, just sleeping.  It was wonderful.

Now  here here to another year.  2010 was a great year.  It brought many things to our home.  We had a kid that turned 6.  We had a new baby.  We had a kid that turned 4.  We brought a dog home from Washington. We finished our basement.  We had a kid that turned 9.   All of the kids grew taller.  We had a baby start crawling.  One of the kids learned to read.  We grew a garden.  I read most of the Shopaholic books.  Yea to Mini shopaholic book in my nighstand.   2010 brought a lot of things and will be missed.  Yeah for another year.

2011 will be a great year - we welcome you!
