Friday

On Friday, I picked up Lyla from school and she was sobbing!  I asked her what was wrong and she said that at 1st recess she always finds Ryan and they hug and she couldn't find him.  Then after lunch, the power went out at school for a few hours.  Panic set into her little soul as she hadn't seen Ryan all day.  Sad!  "Something must have been wrong with him!"  She told me through her sobs!  They held hands in the car and he apologized for not being there at 1st recess and told her he had to help with the superhero day.  Ryan is on a team called the "respect team" at school.  This team is made up of only a few kids from each class and you had to apply for the team.   He was chosen for the team and absolutely loves it.  He gets to help with activities and do things that other kids don't get to.  

She finally stopped crying and asked him to tell her next time he was going to be gone so she wouldn't be looking for him. It was cute that she was so worried about him.  I told her that next time she is that worried she needs to tell her teacher and her teacher could help her.  She said next time she would.  Poor little worried thing!
