Little Ryan is always looking for a way to have money. He loves money. He loves to save up for something and then spend the money. He loves to have his own money to get random things from stores. Stickers, bouncy balls, candy, etc.
While we have been living in my dad’s barn, Ryan asked my dad if he feeds the chickens everyday if my dad would pay him $10 per week. (he did this all on his own. I had nothing to do with it). Everyday he gets his boots on and heads to the chicken coop. He talks to the chickens, gathers their eggs, gives them some food, checks their water and then comes up to report. He spends about 20 minutes with the chickens per day.
The other day when Grandpa Dave was here, Ryan went out to show him the chickens. Grandpa asked Ryan how many chickens were in the coop. Ryan replied that there were 15 chickens. then he looked over and saw one chicken laying on the ground. He went over to it and turned its head toward him and then told Grandpa that its eyes were closed so it was dead and now they had 14 chickens.
He was sad for days about this poor chicken. One way to learn about death is taking care of chickens.
I love my Ryan.

Last night Ryan lost his tooth. The tooth fairy came and brought him $2. he was so excited to wake up this morning to his treasure. Then something happened.. Mr. Ryan was eating breakfast and found his tooth sitting in a bag on the counter. He was shocked. I was shocked. I said, “hummm I wonder what happened. Maybe Rainee scared the tooth fairy and then she dropped it and would come back later.” Ryan got this really big grin on his face and then said - “DOUBLE MONEY"!” He was sure that the tooth fairy left his tooth on the table for him to put it under his pillow again. I told him that I wouldn’t be home today because I was going to work and maybe it would happen while we were all gone. He came home to 2 gold dollars under his pillow and no tooth. $4 tooth. he is lucky! Thank you tooth fairy for coming again even if you didn’t want to.
