Stitches..

Really..   Last week on Thursday, precisely at 9:09 pm

Lyla was taking a bath.

The boys were in their room reading.

Alysa was down in her room.

Rainee was chewing on a bone.

It was a typical night.

I left Lyla for a moment to grab a towel and the little monkey slipped somehow and hit her chin really hard on some part of the bath.   Eric went to get the first aid kit.  I grabbed Lyla  out of the bath.   Eric was going to glue it together.  I took one look at it and told Eric that I didn’t think that he should glue it.  I announced that I was going to take her to the instacare.   We debated back and forth as to what was better.  I called the neighbor who is a nurse practitioner and got his opinion.   I checked the hours at the Instacare.   I told Eric that I didn’t feel good about the glue.

Then, I was in the car on my way to the Instacare.   We got there at about 9:40.  They closed at 10, so we were lucky that we didn’t have to go to the hospital.  We were also lucky because there was not one person in the waiting room.  We checked in and sat to watch the fish.   Within seconds, the nurse was out putting some stuff on her chin to numb it.   We sat for a few minutes and then the nurse came and got  us to go back.

They got the table ready.

I held Lyla’s hands.   She didn’t move.  They put 6 stitches in her chin.

on a side note: I asked the doctor if they would glue this type of thing.  he said that they wouldn’t glue it, because it is a high movement area and it was too big.   I texted Eric and let him know this information.

I won!

such a good girl.   We went right to Walmart after to get her a treat.  She chose a Barbie purse with a phone, glasses, credit cards and money.
