I hate getting the Christmas stuff out. I don’t really like the mess that Christmas stuff leaves around. It feels like too much clutter for me. This year I decided that I wouldn’t get the Christmas stuff out for me, I would get it our for the kids. I climbed in the depths of the horribly messy storage closet and pulled out all of the bins that contained the Christmas items. There was one full bin that contained items that I hate. I promptly put the entire bin in the pile for the DI. I put the tree upstairs and found the perfect spot. It took me 2 days to pull the branches up to make it look like it should. The kids were not excited that it took me two days to get it the way that it should be.
Then it was time. Time to decorate.
This year I promised to let the kids decorate with all of the fun ornaments. I got my way last year and it was the kids turn.
It was a great day.
The kids did a great job. It looked so beautiful and I didn’t really have to hang any ornaments.
someone needed a little bit of help reaching the high spots. Luckily she has a really nice sister that was willing to help her.
Little buddy was so happy about the tree that it had all of the fun ornaments. The only one that was missing was his favorite – Rudolph and his friends. We would have to keep looking for them.
Max always dances when he is happy. he doesn’t even want anyone to know about it. I caught him in the act on this one. :)
She is so proud of their work. They did a great job.
and my favorite photo of the day!
P.S. I still don’t really like Christmas items. I did however like my tree all put together by the kids.
Merry Christmas.
