Today...

Today started out fine. I picked up the house for the cleaner to come. I took a shower. Ryan went to a friends house. I played with Lyla. I did the dishes. Then I was singing with Lyla and discovered that her binky strap was wet. Humm.. She wasn't in the bathroom with me. We continued to sing. I got a call on my work phone. I decided I better check the bathroom downstairs before taking the call. I ran downstairs and knew when I saw wet dog prints on the tile that the water had been left on and it was running over the plugged sink. Seriously!! I turned off the hot water and ran to get some towels. I could tell I was going to need a lot but I didn't know how many I was really going to use. I ran downstairs and started sopping water up. It was tons of water and it was everywhere! It was in Alysa'a room. It was all over the bathroom and all over on the carpet. It was terrible. There was about an inch deep in the bottom of the vanity. Towel after towel after towel. Sopping wet. I ran to the neighbors to see if they had fans. I found a few. More towels and the shop vac to suck up some of the water. This sucks. I got it up as good as I could and now fans are blowing on the carpet. Eric found an industrial fan. It will come home later. Then... The house cleaner never came. Then....Lyla was playing with her friend and they were bugging the cat. My cat is evil. The girls touched her and she had had enough. She attacked! She bit Lylas friend on her forehead! I took Lyla's friend back to her house and explained that I had an evil cat that attacks. Sorry to Kloe that my cat sucks. Then... I wanted Lyla to go to sleep before Ryan had to go to his testing appointment. She watched Elmo and drifted off to sleep just as planned. I decided to take her to her room and as I walked in I realized that I had taken the sheets off her bed to wash them and didn't put any new sheets on her bed. I had to go and put her back on the couch. Of course, she woke up and is now sitting with me at the testing appointment.  She should be sleeping!  

At least my bug people came and sprayed for bugs and I got Ryan to the testing appointment on time.  

Can this day ever end?!!  Sigh...
