February 10. On February 10, I decided that I wouldn’t work. Eric and I would go shopping for Max’s birthday tomorrow.
I would do some house cleaning. I would go shopping with Alysa.
I would work on my blog books. I have been taking the content of my Blog and making a 12 x 12 book out of the pictures and the words. I have received the 2008 and 2009 books and they are the best. I have looked at them many times. I have been so happy that I wrote down what I did. I love these! Here are the links so you can see them if you want. Blog Book 2010 , Blog Book, 2008, Blog Book, 2009
Today… I also decided that I would blog. I love to blog. I love the thoughts and the words and the pictures and the update. I love to remember about the things that my kids are doing. I love to go back and read about what my thoughts were about certain days. I have been working on my books and am sure that I need to be blogging more about just anything. So, starting February 10, 2012, I have decided that I will blog. I will blog about everything, just because.
I will start my blog today by giving an update on everyone.
Me - I have been working on my books – my blog books and picture books for the kids. I started at Max’s birthday last year and have done a book for him of what is happening through his year. It was been fun to see him grow up in the pictures over the last year. I printed this book and am in love with it. I will continue to work on Lyla and Ryan for them to be printed by May and Alysa’s for October. This has been a good task for me to work on. I am so happy with them and will keep working to get them caught up and current. I will never regret having these books done.
I have been working a lot. I like working. I like the challenge. I like having something other than the house and the kids to do.
I have also been figuring out how to take better photos of my kids. I like the manual settings on my camera and still have a lot to learn, but I can tell a difference with my pictures.
Eric – Eric started school in the fall for a masters in nursing administration. He is excited for what this will bring to his career and is busy with working and doing school. he hates to be in school, but will get through it. we will all get through it. Eric has been enjoying going canyoneering and climbing. He is trying to get me to go climbing, but I am not sure that is my thing.
Alysa – Alysa is finally comfortable with her class at school. She was having a hard time for a little while with her stomach hurting before school. She was extremely nervous for something that she didn’t even know what it was. Grandma Vuyk told me about Aloe Juice and I decided to buy it and try it. It is supposed to work for stomach issues as it balances the PH’s in the stomach. I started giving it to her and within a few weeks she didn’t have a stomach ache anymore. I am so relieved that aloe juice is the solution. Alysa is super smart and doesn’t have any problems with any subject in school. She has sloppy handwriting and is working on making it better. I tell her that I have sloppy hand writing too, and I don’t have a problem with my work or anything. I only have a problem when she has to read a note that I have written. :) Alysa loves to play with her friends and play on her iPod. She loves having a dog and a cat. She writes me notes on her white board every night and they make me smile.
Max – Max is getting so old. I watch him grow and learn and can’t believe that he will be 8 tomorrow. Max wears his coat all day long. He wears his coat at school. At dinner, at lunch, everywhere. He just says it is comfortable. Max loves to play the wii and hates to do his homework. He seems to be liking the piano. He loves to just hang out and hardly ever gets mad. He loves to snuggle on the couch. Max is super smart in school, but is a little lazy. Max will pretend that he isn’t smart, so he doesn’t have to do something hard. He makes me laugh and smile everyday. His smile is so bright and his teacher at school says that he is really liked by his friends and he has a lot of friends. I can see why all of these kids want to be his friend.
Ryan – Ryan is the best kid. He is so happy all of the time. He is sometimes a little mean. Ryan has a lot of friends and isn’t afraid to tell any of his friends that he is done playing with them or if they aren’t acting the way that he wants them to. Ryan loves to hang out. He loves to play his DS and play my iPad. He loves to play with Lyla and loves to be with Max. I have been told that Ryan doesn’t say anything in his class. He doesn’t say one word! I asked him why he doesn’t talk and he said that he is afraid that he is going to get in trouble. Humm.. I talked to his teacher about this and she told him that she likes to hear his ideas. He has been working on talking and sharing his ideas with his class. I am surprised that Ryan is this way. I would never think that this would be how Ryan is. Ryan is a great kid even if he doesn’t talk in class.
Lyla – Lyla is getting so big. She loves clothes and shoes. She always wants to put clothes on. In the morning I open her drawer and she chooses the shirt that she wants to wear. She always wants to wear a skirt. She is learning so fast and is such a little princess. Everyone always just gives her what she wants and she doesn’t have to fight for anything. When I ask her if she needs a diaper changed, she turns around so I can see. She climbs on my lap while I am working and sits between me and the screen so I can see anymore. She loves her little chair and carries it all over the place. She loves her baby dolls and could play all day long. She just figured out how to say Apple. She says a lot of words and is getting better with hear talking. She loves to brush her teeth. She will stand in the bathroom forever in order to get to brush her teeth.
Rainee – Rainee just learned how to catch a frisbee. She loves it. She runs so fast and catches the frisbee. She still loves to play with a ball and run. She is a good dog.
Quick update on us. More pictures to come from January.
I love my blog! I love my kids and Eric! I love my life!
