today ..

Today I was patient.  Today I was present.  Today I took Rainee to the groomer.  Today Lyla didn’t take a nap.  Today Max played outside all day long.  Today Alysa said she had a good day.   Today I held Lyla while she went to sleep for the night.    Today I watched Peter Pan with Ryan.   Today I got my work done.  Today I did the laundry.   Today was a productive day.  

I read stories to Ryan and tucked him in.  I kissed Alysa and Max goodnight.   I came to my spot on my couch to work, watch my shows and wind down. 

I am now watching American Idol and I don’t feel tired, but in a little bit I will probably wake up with my computer on my lap and it will be 3:00 in the morning. 

Funny how that is.    Why don’t I sleep through the night on the couch?    I never know what wakes me up.  Is it Rainee?   Is it some sound in the house?   Is it just because it is 3’:00 in the morning?  It is weird.  

I had a great day.  I enjoyed my kids and my day.   Tomorrow will be a good day too.
