swimming

an afternoon swimming at grandma’s.  There is nothing better.  We took a break from our regular home routine to go swimming at grandma’s.  We love grandma’s pool.

and of course we have to have ice cream before we do anything else.  Lyla didn’t get to swim because I am not a swimmer.  Sorry, baby girl.  She hung out with me.

and Lyla tried to share her ice cream with Grandpa.  He didn’t really want to share.  She was okay with eating it all on her own. 

This was a much needed break from our regular day.  There will for sure be more of this! 

So, the summer is going by so fast!   It is amazing how short the summer is before the kids are back in school and gone for the entire day again.  I look forward to the summer where we have no plans and if we want to have pizza for dinner every night it is okay.  I also like school to start again so I can have a routine again and we can eat a home cooked dinner.  I will enjoy my last month before the kids go to school again – but it will go by way too fast.
