We are here, we are here... just busy as can be. Eric took Ryan's stitches out today. His ear is "all fixed" (as Ry would put it). He didn't love having the stitches, but didn't let them stop him do anything. Ryan thinks that his name is Ry-ry daddy (since his middle name is Eric). Ha ha. We make him say it all of the time. Ry is wanting to do everything that the others do.
He keeps asking when he gets to play soccer. It will be fun when he can play next season. He plays the DS and follows Max everywhere. Max got another cast put on yesterday. The waterproof one was having issues. He pulled all of the padding out of the inside and the fiberglass cast part was causing a rash on the upper part on his arm and his hand. We were walking into the clinic yesterday and he said - "Mom, I think that a few bugs flew in my cast and they are crawling around in it." I told him that I was pretty sure that didn't happen. He was positive it was why his arm was itching so bad. Poor little kid. He was glad to see when they cut off the one cast that his arm was still there with no bugs. We now have a red cast for GO UTES!! Hooray for that. Max started T-ball again about 2 weeks ago
. He is loving it. It is amazing how he can follow the ball since his eye surgery. We are also playing soccer on Saturday mornings. It is fun to see what he can do. We had to take a break from gymnastics for 8 weeks since the broken arm. He says that his arm doesn't hurt at all and he needs to go back. We went back last week and he did pretty good. Only one mo

re week of the cast. Alysa is excited for school to be ending. She tells me everyday how many weeks are left. I think that it will be a busy summer. She comes home from school with some writing assignments and the one the other day said - Do you know anyone who helps the community? Her writing said - My dad helps the community.
He is a nurse at Intermountain Medical. It is cool to have a dad that is a nurse. Love it. She is a great girl and a big helper. Alysa is also playing soccer and still doing gymnastics. She has learned to do a cart wheel and a hand stand and land on her feet. It feels like she is finally catching on.

We checked the weather report a million times to make sure that we would have a nice weekend. One time we checked it was supposed to be 90 degrees. Neither of us like the really hot, so we were glad when it changed to 75. We went to the park and went
swimming - Jen even swam and this is amazing :) We stayed in a nice hotel and loved every minute of it. We had a good time and were glad that we got to spend some time together before the baby comes.
Eric is working like crazy. He started working 6 on and 8 off. It is really hard to have him gone for 6 days and then home for 8. It will be good during the summer so we can go camping and other things. He has every other weekend off and it is nice to know what his schedule is. He tries when the weather is good to go on a bike ride with his friends. It is good for him to do that and I am happy that he is able to go.

I am working on the yard, doing house work, working and running the kids to their different things. It is exciting, yet a little boring. I think I need to learn to knit.

What a busy life! How do you guys have time to breath? Still, you sound so happy. Hooray for family life and healthy children. Glad the mini-vaca with Jen & Owen went well.
Knit?!? Hmmm...
I hope that when summer comes you are not to busy to do some play dates at the park, some girl nights out, and other spontaneous things.
In the mean time, again, you are a great mom to sacrifice so much of your time for your kido's.
You need to Embroider a square for the VanKomen family quilt! I just got 4 squares from Aunt Mary and I roped my girls into each doing a square - we are going to have a lesson this weekend. I think it will be fun to have their squares on the quilt - then they will want it even more LOL!
The pictures are great! Jen looks good. So glad you got to spend time together.
Love you tons,
Aunt Cathy
You can always knit a Big blue sweater for your dad! Hahahahaha. I crack myself up! Love the pictures of the kids and the one with Jen and Owen is really cute. You are a really good picture-taker!
Love, Mom
