We make a delicious batch of chocolate chip cookies....
we make a pitcher of Kool-aid....
and we sell them on the side of the road in front of our house.
This is what Alysa would choose to do over anything else. She loves sitting outside at the card table, with the umbrella above her, a cup for money, poured punch for her and a friend, and chocolate on their fingers (even before the 1st customer has come) in order to make a few dollars. It is some cheap entertainment and keeps them outside ALL day!
Alysa and Jordan made about $8.00 today by selling a cookie and a glass of punch for 25 cents each (although this was the set price, Jordan's mom said that they were actually selling them for 50 cents for one cookie and 50 cents for one glass of punch - I guess their prices increased in order to cover the costs - especially the expensive cook - ha ha :)
So, if it is ever a nice saturday, you can find us outside selling cookies and kool-aid. Hopefully by next time that cook will reduce her price so the price of the cookies can go down! The kids had a great day and so did I.
I will give you the recipe... but you have to promise you will still come and buy if you see us out...

You make the best cookies! I have tried to duplicate them, it doesn't work. I will always buy from the cookie/Lemonade stand; I just hope the price doesn't continue to rise!!
Good job on your posts...does commenting on others count?
I love this recipe! It NEVER fails for me. I've had it for years and will never change.
I add a 1/2 tsp of almond flavoring to my cookies and they are amazing too. It is a fun change for a great Chocolate Chip recipe. I also sometimes add the big cooking chocolate chips from Gygi's - I think I might have to make some cookies tonight!
Love you tons and tons,
Aunt Cathy
