Why doesn't it feel like Christmas yet? I just haven't found my holiday spirit yet. I guess it is only the day after Thanksgiving and I have a little bit of time to find it. I am excited for the smiles and happiness that Christmas brings, but I am not excited for the getting ready. I told Eric that it was because my lights are up on my house, but they are not on. He laughed. It will come, it will come...
I went shopping today with my mom. We had a great time. We talked and laughed and stood in line at the fabric store for 2 hours. We didn't like that part, but we had a good time. My mom told me a few things about our St. Nicholas tradition that I didn't know. It was a very nice time. Thanks mom for coming with me and braving the crowds. We did buy the cutest ornaments for our trees from Costco. They are shatterproof balls. My mom got the top left and I got the bottom right of the picture below. They are so cute and not glass. That was the best buy of the day. I didn't go out this morning because I didn't see anything that I was willing to fight for.
I had a great day shopping and enjoying my family, but I still don't have my Christmas spirit. Ba Hum bug... or something else? Who knows.
